Lambton Sportsman’s Club is a private club, located in St. Clair Township. We offer our members and their guests the opportunity to test their skills in the age-old art of marksmanship.

Although we are a private club, our “Upcoming Events” are open to any licensed shooter.  Please call or email the contact person for that discipline for information or if you have any questions.

As a member of Lambton Sportsman’s Club, you have access, dawn to dusk of the facilities, after your orientation.  We are a volunteer based club and once you join you will be asked to put in a minimum of 8 hours during the year. This can easily be achieved during work parties, being a member of a committee, helping out in the kitchen or with maintenance and grass cutting.

Please take a few minutes and tour our website or check out the calendar and come out and watch some of our activities. Feel free to contact us if you’d like more information or to set up a tour of our facilities and you can learn more about what we have to offer.

More Information

Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS, also known as Western Action Shooting, Single Action Shooting, or Cowboy 3-gun) is a competitive shooting sport that originated in Southern California, USA, in the early 1980's. It is a type of 3-gun match utilizing a combination of pistol(s), rifle, and/or shotgun in a variety of "old west themed" courses of fire for time and accuracy. Participants must dress in appropriate theme or era "costume" as well as use gear and accessories as mandated by the respective sanctioning group rules.

Registration starts at 9:00 am

Mandatory Safety meeting at 9:45 am

Shooting starts at 10:00 am

Match cost: $20 (Includes Lunch)

If you are interested here are some guideline:

  • We shoot single action revolvers, lever action rifles, and either a double barrel shotgun without ejectors, or an 1897 pump shotgun.
  • Rifles are of handgun caliber with handguns and rifle being .38 caliber or larger shooting lead bullets.
  • Replica firearms are fine.
  • Targets are steel so you know immediately if you hit or missed.

There are usually seventeen shooters at our matches with people coming from Windsor, Chatham, Brantford, Mississauga, and London. We typically have 17-15 shooters at our matches.
